Rosy Cheeks Layout :: Studio Calico's Antiquary Scrapbook Kit

In this layout, Rosy Cheeks, I used Studio Calico's Antiquary scrapbook kit from October 2013.  It was one of the kits I received in their Black Friday sale when they were selling kit grab bags for $5!  I was so excited to get this kit.  I love everything about it.  The wood veneer deer is from Crate Paper's "Little Bo Peep" line. This is also my first time using paint on my layout! I just did a little bit of a white wash under the card stock. Added a few drops of Studio Calico's Mister Huey's mist and called it done. Sewing is also a bit new for me on my layouts to excuse the…ahem…wonky lines.

One of my absolute favorite pictures from 2013 is this one of my daughter snapped right after picking out our Christmas tree.  We went to a tree farm when it was 12 degrees outside, took us 5 minutes to find the tree and cut it down.  I rushed Lexie into the car because she was shaking.  And while my husband (dear him) put the tree on the car all by himself, Lexie and I were playing and snapping photos in the warm car.

I wanted to make sure I added a journaling tag about Lexie's rosy cheeks so I hid it under the deer wood veneer and added the green ribbon so it will easily pull out.
