Baptism Layout :: Studio Calico Outer Banks Kit

I have had this photo of my daughter from her Baptism sitting on my desk, just waiting for that perfect paper to tell the story.  I found it in the add-on Outer Banks kit from Studio Calico's Roundabout kit release.  I received Outer Banks as part of Studio Calico's Black Friday sale back in November.  I gasped when I opened it!  Seriously, this gold foiled paper by Anna Griffin is to.die.for.  Usually her designs, though beautiful, are a little too elegant and bold for my usual taste.

I used my Silhouette Design Studio software to make the "my heart is yours" card.  It is part of a set of Project Life cards I made that I will show you another time.  Now that I have started sewing on my projects, I just can't get enough!  I sewed around the edges of the papers as well as on the gold ribbon at the top.

This gold ribbon you see is from Studio Calico's Sugar Rush card kit.

And I loved the gold triangle sequins from the kit but they were a little too harsh for this layout.  So I put the vellum over them to soften their look up a bit.  Lil L was baptized at the same church my husband and I were married at so that made the occasion extra special.  I wanted to make sure my layout did this picture justice!
